How We Started

Born Out of Frustration with the System

Payment Allies was founded in 2011 by William Rempel, a former bank advisor who grew tired of watching his clients get buried under compounding interest while the institutions he worked for profited from their struggle.

William left the bank with one goal: to build a service that put the client first. Not the creditor, not the shareholder — the person sitting across the table who just needed a fair shot at getting their life back.

What started as a one-person operation in Ottawa has grown into a team of dedicated advisors helping thousands of Canadians every year. But our approach has never changed. Every client still gets a real person, a real plan, and real support from start to finish.

What We Stand For

Our Core Values

These are not just words on a wall. They are the principles that guide every conversation, every plan, and every decision we make.

Empathy First

We know that reaching out for help with debt takes courage. Every client is treated with dignity, patience, and zero judgment — no matter how complicated the situation.

Radical Transparency

No hidden fees, no fine print surprises. We explain every step of your plan in plain language so you always know exactly where you stand and what comes next.

Real Relationships

You will never be passed around a call centre. Every client works directly with a dedicated advisor who knows your name, your situation, and your goals.

Results That Last

Getting out of debt is only the beginning. We equip every client with the knowledge and habits to stay debt-free long after their program ends.
